Maintenance alerts and reports

Maintenance alerts can be created when a user wants to get notified by email or web hook about an upcoming maintenance need.

There are 2 types of alerts that can be configured for maintenance notifications:

• Maintenance required.
• Maintenance required and inside a geozone.

The Maintenance required alert will be sent when a maintenance is required. More specifically, the condition for sending the alert will depend on the state of the maintenance: reminder, overdue or a combination of both.

The Maintenance required and inside geozone alert will be sent when two conditions are met:

• Maintenance is required (same as the Maintenance required alert).
• The asset is inside a specific geozone.

The reason for having a second alert type is that maintenance alerts are typically followed up by a maintenance that can only take place in a specific location, for example an oil station.

In such cases one does not want to be bothered by alerts that are triggered somewhere in the field. Only a combination of the pending alert state and a specific location or geozone should be accepted as a trigger, hence the Maintenance required and inside geozone alert.
